It’s smoothie time! I love starting off my day with a nutrient dense smoothie. Especially such a delicious flavor combination like this blueberry cucumber ginger smoothie!
When I think of the Houston summers and the heat/humidity beginning to roll in, I can’t think of a better description than the lyrics from good ol Miley Cyrus: “it came in like a wrecking ball” ….. just without all the licking things and partial nudity. Seriously though every time summer starts to roll around I always think ohhhh I was probably exaggerating how hot and humid it was last year, it probably won’t be that bad. FALSE. Houston summer heat is beyond compare! You better believe this smoothie was on repeat all summer long. Cucumber, blueberries, ginger. This smoothie is soooo refreshing and the perfect way to cool down!
For this Blueberry Cucumber Ginger Smoothie you will need:
- frozen cucumber
- frozen blueberries
- vanilla protein powder (this one is my favorite)
- nut milk

Blueberry Cucumber Ginger Smoothie

- • 1/2 frozen banana
- • 1/2 cup chopped frozen cucumber
- • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- • large handful spinach
- • small chunk (or large if you love it) peeled ginger
- • small handful of ice
- • 1-2 scoops vanilla protein powder
- • milk to blend (I used cashew)
- Step 1
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
