Description

Slices of egg soaked bread cooked until golden and crispy around the edges, stuffed with creamy peanut butter, melty chocolate, and banana slices. The perfect Chocolate Peanut Butter Stuffed French Toast!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk (I used cashew)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • sprinkle of salt
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips (or to taste)
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1/2 – 1 banana, sliced

Instructions

  1. First create your egg wash mixture: whisk together your egg, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and pinch of salt. Set aside.
  2. Make a sandwich with your bread, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and banana slices.
  3. Dip both outsides of the sandwich in the egg mixture then cook in a skillet with a little butter on medium until golden brown on both sides. (Cover the skillet while it cooks to ensure the center gets nice and melty)

Notes

The great thing about this recipe is it’s totally customizable! If you’re not a fan of peanut butter and chocolate you can switch it up with whatever fillings you want. Cashew butter and jam, banana and Nutella, anything you want!
