Classic tuna salad is given a much tastier makeover with this lighter, no-mayo Mediterranean tuna salad. Packed full of flavor and so easy to make!

Mediterranean Tuna Salad

Reasons why I love to make tuna salad: it’s easy, it’s delicious, it’s super good for you, and it makes for the perfect lunch. Reasons why I don’t like to make tuna salad: the hubs finds it endlessly funny to ask if I’m going to go halfsies with my sister’s cat Jamila. Like, he asks literally every time I make tuna (insert eye roll here).

Luckily the pros outweigh the cons in this situation to bring you this Mediterranean Tuna Salad! I seriously love Mediterranean flavors, and they bring the perfect updated twist to plain old tuna salad. Flavorful, crunchy, packed with veggies, you really can’t go wrong!

To make this Mediterranean Tuna Salad you will need:

  • tuna
  • kalamata olives
  • roasted red pepper
  • cucumber
  • red onion
  • feta cheese
  • plain Greek yogurt
  • dill
  • garlic powder
  • cumin
  • paprika
  • oregano
  • crushed red pepper

Description

Classic tuna salad is given a much tastier makeover with this lighter, no-mayo Mediterranean tuna salad. Packed full of flavor and so easy to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans tuna (in water)
  • 1/3 cup kalamata olives, chopped
  • 1/3 cup roasted red pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/4–1/3 cup feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh dill, diced (Or 1–2 tsp dried)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain the tuna. Add everything to a large bowl and mix well. Serve and enjoy!
  2. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

  1. I like to eat my tuna as a sandwich, on toast, with crackers, or on a bed of lettuce!
  2. If you don’t have greek yogurt you can also use mayo! Or half mayo half yogurt. Whatever you have on hand.
